This Thai Face Massage introduction class is a mix of facial acupressure and Eastern facial massage techniques.

Very often, the face gets only a connective touch during massage, perhaps because most therapsists do not have techniques which allow for focus here. The 90 muscles of the face lose tone and elasticity over time and this gentle face massage helps to relieve deep tension, giving the facial muscles a lift. In addition, relaxing the facial muscles helps to release stress. With these techniques you're helping to slow down the aging process.
Clients respond very positively to this treatment, often incorporating it into their regular monthly beauty treatments. Over a period of time skin appears rejuvenated, wrinkles seem to be reduced for many, giving your client a 'natural instant facelift.'

Course includes The course is 8 hours hands-on and will include the following:

Brief explanation of Thai Ayurvedic skin dosha analysis and relevant oils, Related anatomy & physiology, Energetic and Subtle Anatomy (Marma points, Chakras, Aura)

Three full facial massage routines - Pre-facial: neck, shoulders, upper back - Facial: face, ears, scalp- Acupressure Marma points massage

These facial protocols include many traditional Thai techniques that relax the face muscles, improve muscle tone and enhance the natural metabolism of the skin, thus improving skin texture and minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as helping to prevent the formation of new ones. As a holistic therapy, they aim to promote energy flow, balance and harmony throughout the whole body.

Prerequisite: This class would benefit already qualified massage therapists, facialists and/or estheticians.
Thai Facial Massage is practical for all who wish to apply the art of traditional Thai massage into their current repertoire.
