Thai Massage is often referred to as having yoga done to you. It uses physical routines that activate and balance all the energy systems of the body, very similar to the intent of Chinese acupuncture and Shiatsu.
Along with influencing the energetic side, Thai Massage works deep on the physical body. Thai Massage combines many bodywork techniques usually found isolated in the west, including Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release Techniques, Manual Therapy, Reflexology, Sports Massage and others. All that makes Thai Massage unique, and so are it's effects.
This fun Thai hands-on class combine all these elements but focusing on Sen energetic bodywork, acupressure of the marma points, and reflex areas of the hands and the feet. Students will learn to improve energy flow throughout the body, and also will learn the Thai energy anatomy of the hands and feet, hands on techniques for working on the hands and the feet, and ancient Thai rituals to treat the feet.
Massage Envy participants will learn a Thai Reflexology treatment for the feet and hands. This unique reflexology massage routine will add an Eastern flavor to your regular massage, and will increase your repertoire of techniques to offer your clients. This work is great for relaxing and balancing the body and all of its systems. Thai Reflexology and Thai Detox treatments work very well when combined in the same session.
